Hey all, first let me say thank you all for all your help, you make someone really feel good about coming here and being a part of the community.

So I've got things underway and really getting excited about it, but can someone tell me is there a way to make a still background look as if it's moving? Example: still pic of star field, .....any way to make it looks as if you are moving through them, or stars coming toward player?

Thanks again everyone.

Hi Shadowghost(135); found this game test by Colin the other day; hopefully it'll help out; with some tweaking, could be what you're after:

    That's a pretty interesting demo.
I've been thinking about this problem for my next game (whenever that will be).
I think if particles can't quite hack it, I might try several layers of 2D star fields.
You might be able to use interpolate to fade them in and interpolate grow to make them become larger. Several layers of this could look quite nice. You would probably want them to do this quite slowly, unless you are flying through hyperspace or something ;)
Let us know what you find out.
    Good luck also!
