What version of Amazon Fire TV should be used for testing?

Which version would be optimal for testing? I heard it can also be picked up at retail stores, would the price be lesser there?

price should be the same across the board

both devices will work, the FireTV Stick is a little slower, so if it runs well on that, it will run well on the full fireTV.

@jonmulcahy I see. I actually haven't been able to get a fire stick, neither in retail, nor online, as Amazon's sold out and won't have it in stock again until April 23rd.
