How can I make my app detect the screen size of the gadget?

To avoid black bars, we make it go Overscan, but when we do letterbox, we are left with hidden real estate, so I was wondering if we can make it detect the width and height of the screen and make a rule for walls to move to a designated location to align with the edges.
