Advice sought: Engine sound at start and stop (acceleration and deceleration)

Hello -

I wonder if there is a way to create the sound of acceleration (quick, not going through gears) and later deceleration "without writing code" for three separate sounds, but rather just use one audio sample (looped).

Thanks! This is pretty much the only thing left before publishing the next game.

    Loop an engine sound, interpolate the pitch up and down for acceleration and deceleration.
