Using gamesalad to make a HomePage?

Since it supports html5 couldn't I easily use gs to make a homepage?
And what is the database status with gs? I have been away for 2 years or so. Can I connect to an sql database? I would like to make a social site where people can login and upload stuff.

    You could but it won't work well on mobile and I cannot recommend this way.

    Database stuff is only supported on iOS and android platforms.
