APPLE REJECTS 1st iPad APP DUE TO 2 SILLY REASONS (HELP)
My 1st iPad App just got rejected coz of the following reasons.
1.
I Called my App Burling's Voice Booth iPad. I can not use this as i have to put "Burling's Voice Booth For iPad" Or "iPad Edition Or "iPad Version.....I think this is another poor reason for rejection ?????? what do you think ???????
2.
iPad has to support All Orientations ???? I dont want my App to support Landscape, Just Portrait, How will i change this as if the page flips round, wont half my screen be missing ???
Please help if you can.
Thanks
V.E

Q.2 It doesn't have to flip all four ways just two so when you export your app from gamesalad click both portrait modes as you export it also you can go in scene attributes under autorotate and click portrait and portrait upside down.

1. Rejected because you have used the word ipad in the title - remove.
2. You do not need all four orientations, but if you app is portrait only then it needs to be build so it can be turned upside down or flipped 180 degrees. To do this in each of your scenes you need to go into the inspector > Attributes and set scene and tick both portrait and portrait upside down, then when you build your app in GS, in the advanced tab there is a setting to tick both portrait orentations. IF you do not do this your app will be rejected.
surely that hot info has got to be worth you doing my sfx for free :-)

2. I have seen loads of iPad apps that only support one orientation!! infract I am working on a game now that only plays in landscape (either way). When it happened to me I replied to the email with links that only supported one orientation and low and behold it was accepted!
What I can tell you is that they like landscape over portrait.
I hope that helps.

I will change name also ( just hate that apple has all this silly rules and its takes another week to get accepted )
Thanks Again to AppChogie, Weswog and JCFord
