Our game is nearly finished!

After a number of weeks, we are nearing the end of our first finished build of our game.
We have a few bugs to iron out, and then polish and test on platforms before releasing.
I was wondering if anyone could help us avoid making to many mistakes in relation to releasing a game?

The topics we are interested in are....

  • Marketing
  • Promotion
  • Reviews
  • Sales points
  • and...common mistakes made by noobs like us ;)

    Yes, it take up to 24 hours for apple to actually get your game on the App Store, so plan ahead!

    manually release....set the date far in the future....send promo copies to relevant bloggers....etc. etc.

    thanks for the comments guys :) We are getting down to polishing and solid testing at the moment. If all goes well we should announce our game in the next month or so. It is a platform game aimed at 6-8 yr olds, so my 6 yr old son is one of my main testers ;)

    In the final stages now. All is working, and getting down to the fine details. I have to admit it is pretty exciting to be almost finished our first game. :)
