Hello world, my team and I are designing our 1st iphone game with GameSalad.

We've heard you can create custom behaviors with GameSalad. Is this true? If so, how much further can you get with your games than just using the default behaviors?

Any answers will be deeply appreciated.

The "my behaviors" is just a place to store rules you have created using the standard GS behaviors. Create a rule with a bunch of behaviors in it and drag it over to the my behaviors until a plus sign appears. Now you can use it in other actors in that project ONLY!

Yeah, right. Now "Custom Behaviors" that would allow you to Pause, send an email, tweet, or go to a website, or support inApp Purchasing, iAds, GameCenter or the like, now that would be worth talking about!

So it's not the behavior being customized but it's rules?

    Yes KidJello,

the "Behavior" of an "Actor" is controlled by "Rules" which allow you , the programmer, to build "Custom Behaviors" from unique combinations of "Standard Behaviors".

The "Standard Behaviors" can be "Customized" by adding specific parameters to them within the context of their scope.
