How do you send an app file of your game to your iPhone?

I finally got an iphone. I've been using an android phone to test the game by e-mailing myself the .apk file.

But for iphone, it's different, it creates a folder full of files, when I send it to my iphone, I can never download it from the e-mail. But it has me wondering before I can even download it, even if I do, is this the correct file or am I to e-mail myself a different file? I can't find anything for iOS, was only ever able to find the android method in search.

"No results for sending app file to e-mail."

Register your iPhone as a device on your developer account. Publish your game and sign it with a adhoc provisioning profile, plug your iPhone to your mac, open Xcode and go to window-devices, click on your device and drag your .app into the section for applications.

@Lovejoy Thank you for this info. I use Macincloud for Mac access, will this affect device connectivity for ad hoc testing?

I am not sure, as i never used macincloud. Another way may be using test flight through apple, but again i have not done that either.

@Lovejoy Thanks for the response, I'll try the method you mentioned when I test the app.
