Hey when trying to install the 8.8 viewer on my ipod touch it installs the viewer but then comes up saying "mi_cmd_stack_list_frames: Not enough frames in stack."

Anyone know how to fix this problem?? If I try to select the app on my ipod touch it will basically crash right when the gamesalad logo pops up.

I've never seen that error before...

I have the 0.8.8 viewer working correctly on my iPhone 3GS.
    I am running iOS 4.0

Did you delete the viewer from your phone before installing the new one? I find that avoids issues.

Yeah I did the same thing I've always done when updating the viewer... I don't know what is wrong ): Guess I'll have to figure this one out on my own.

Delete your current viewer then Download the viewer again (maybe even gamesalad too) and go through the process one more time to be sure there wasn't an issue with the one you had. If not working after that, maybe contact Gendai.

I am trying to deploy to a 3.0 device....

In contrast, I have no problems if I build the 0.8.7 version with the 4.0 SDK and deploy to a 3.0 device, it works fine....

basically, if i try and build the 0.8.8 version with all the same settings as the 0.8.7 version, it doesnt work. From the error message it vaguely sounds like it wants the iphone to be upgraded to version 4.0, which is something that I would prefer not to do with only a 3g

    Yes that is the issue

You need iOS4 before installing the 0.8.8 viewer onto your iphone/idevice

Has anyone from GS confirmed this

That might be the issue. I have 3.1.2 since it's jailbroken.

Please download the Viewer again, delete GameSalad Viewer from your device, and reinstall it. It should now be able to be installed on the non-OS4 devices.

You will still need OS4 to see iAd test ads.

I could not get the 0.88 viewer to work, damm thing kept crashing after a few seconds, but I can confirm that after re-downloading this is now working great on my iPhone 3.1.2 so thank you GS team for the fix.

I was having this problem and at first, instead of re-downloading anything, I just re-unzipped from the download I had before (I thought that would do it). After several failed attempts, I finally decided to re-download it (even though I didn't see the difference in just re-unzipping the file I had downloaded previously).

Then, instead of selecting iPhone OS 3.0 or 3.1.3 like I was doing before (I am running a iPhone 3G on 3.1.3), I decided to try selecting iPhone OS 3.1.2. This time when I clicked 'Build and Run' it didn't give me the strange 'not enough frames' error and everything worked! I guess selecting 3.1.2 must have been what made the difference (despite the fact I'm running 3.1.3).

Hope that helps someone else with this incredibly frustrating problem! Thanks to all and CodeMonkey for the guidance.

@jonbeebe no I believe GS team updated the GS viewer file, hence the need to re-download.

I tried all the setting before and none of them worked. With the new version I downloaded I set the min platform as iPhoneOS 3.0 and it built and run fine on my iphone running iOS 3.1.2.
