Game Time

Hi, can someone please advise. I thought that game time would reset to zero on a 'game reset' but it appears not to.
So then tried change attribute 'game time' to zero but still game time stays running from where it left off with game reset.
Am I doing something wrong. I simply want variables to reset on a game reset.

game.time is a running clock that starts when the app has loaded and cannot be changed.

Setup two real attributes set to 0
Then constrain 1st attribute to game.time-2nd attribute
Then use 1st attribute instead of game.time
Then when you need to reset game change 2nd attribute to equal game.time

You also have access to Scene Time and Actor Time. I havent used them to reset things so I dont know if they ever get set back to zero.

I've managed to get actor time to pause using a pause button (it pauses my displayed minutes and seconds).
All great but I wonder how to keep it displaying zeros until a PLAY button is pressed.
Haven't yet figured out how to pause game.time so my sounds (not music) actually pause.
Tricky stuff but I do believe there is a way. I guess it's not something that is used terribly much.

What does it matter how old the original thread is? The info is still relevant and I have new questions relating to it.
I wasn't aware there was a rule against following along a thought from earlier.

A I supposed to make a new thread? It would mean explaining everything from scratch again.

Please explain to this confused little brain....

    Thanks ;)

Yes, always create a new thread if the original information is months old. Not only was this information dealing with a previous version of gamesalad, the original information in the thread is usually bad.

Plus, people are not going to read through a long thread to find a new question at the bottom.

I think it would have been a little more respectful if you could have just said that in the first place as I sincerely did not know this was an issue. All your initial comment did was make me feel bad. To be fair, this is not even mentioned under Rules, Guidelines and Best Practices in the yellow section of the Forum.
I'm not one to clutter up the forums with useless stuff and hundreds of posts. This thread had only four comments so it wasn't even long and was still relevant (to me if noone else). Most of us here work hard and are trying to make great apps. I hope that spirit remains in the forum and we don't get to a place where people are afraid to ask a question for fear of being ridiculed. A baby learns to walk by encouragement and risk and here is no different.
With privilege comes responsibility. I urge forum moderators and guests to remember there are many like myself who are not forum savvy but jump on here as part of the GS community to learn and share.

Because I'm a glass is half full kind of guy, I'll close on a more positive note. I'm really impressed by the help myself and others have received here. The latest version of GS is the best yet and I feel one I can feel confident working on my assorted projects. I'm excited to actually be working on three GS projects simultaneously and look forward to actually getting something published finally very soon.

We live in great times ;)

Great to know. Yes that does indeed help me. Luckily it's just an extra feature and won't make or break my project.
Perhaps some day GS will add Pause Sound as they have Pause Music.
    It's all good.
I can't wait to show what I'm working on.... soon peeps, soon!
Thanks TSB - Rockstar of Gamesalad ;)

While there was prob a nicer way for jon to say it, when you say something multiple time a week to no avail I would and do get pretty sarcastic with my comments. I don't think he intends to offend. I think he is just getting wore out on trying to keep up with the redundancy of this forum.
