How to solve the $2000 pro issue – the easy way.

After reading a lot of posts during the last few months on the $99 Vs $2000 price which everyone bitches about, the simple answer to this problem is to price the pro version at $750 like Torque. The difference between the $750 and $2000 pro version would just be a support contract with say a 48 hour response time. As GS now has a lot of funding, there is no reason why they can't employ some GS developers to provide help desk support. Not only would this appease the community but it will mean several thousand existing developers WILL upgrade to the middle tier pro license. Existing developers who have paid the full price will not lose because they will get the developer help desk support.

    $673.22 sounds good.

(Then iDeveloperz, Quantum sheep & Mr.Funkleberry can round up the annual payment to £500 including the apple license.) - And the other british peoples.

    :P

How is that a simple answer? If I go buy Pro today for $1999, and then they drop it to $750, I'd probably be looking for a refund of the difference. Technical support is not really needed with GameSalad... not when there's a forum like this.

It's an easy solution for those that do not have Pro. It's not an easy solution for existing pro members that paid $1999.

...and it's not even clear that iAds is worth it. In a few days, we might be seeing posts that say, "My game has no ads!" ...as I have yet to see a single ad in my Xcode app. I don't know if I created it wrong, but Apple did approve it.

You'll have to have a very good app before they put ads anywhere near it.

    It's a book. I think that it's a really good book.
On the Android Market, it's a 4 star (4 1/2 star for paid) app.

Thanks to iAds not appearing, I'm basically giving away my book for free.

Ha, it's quite an adventure! (I think so anyway. I think it's a fun book.)

Your choices help to progress the story. You could read every choice though.

i'm trying to download to my ipad cant seem to get it... doesn't appear if I search revisions lite in app store

The iPad doesn't run iOS 4. I think that's needed to run iAds... yet another reason to frown on iAds.

yeah ...didn't realise that app store filtered iOS4 from even being viewed by ipad...pretty obvious I guess...doh
