Apps used in conferences

I have had been receiving requests for permission to use my dental apps for seminars and presentations. Something I had never even considered before I made them. My mind set has always been "games.....games....games". But this has me thinking of other potential uses or directions for apps. Even games can have different markets.....
I thought it was interesting so just posted for a quick "thought of the day"

@gattoman, my first 'professional' use of Gamesalad was to create two apps for a tradeshow for one of our clients. One was a demo of an equipment interface and how it would work on an iPad and another was a marketing 'game' they had available in their bar area to keep clients hanging around and throw so marketing information at them while they relax during the show.
So yes, I think Gamesalad has a lot of potential outside of traditional games.

I agree, there is broader potential. One of my recent apps allows for tracking Swim Team event times as well as display the various cut times for Junior Olympics and Western Regions. Gamesalad tables make this pretty easy to store and retrieve information.
