Spaces in display text

I'm trying to display some text using display text, but it doesn't seem to want to include spaces. Is this a bug.... is there a workaround? It's ALOT of text (about page), so manually adding spaces would be extremely cumbersome.

You have to hold alt or Mac equivalent than press space

you can also use the escape code \32 as a space.

Ok... when I do Alt-Space, I get a space, but then when it tries to Draw Text it, it says Invalid expression.
