Gamesalad keeps deleting my images (bug)
hey guys. Something really annoying has started happening since yesterday when i upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite. At totally random times while im working on a project, all of the images in the project (and sometimes other projects that aren't even open!) just disappear. this has happened 4 times in the last day (twice in the last hour!). Luckily I've backed up to Time Machine, but its quite irritating having to revert back an hour, losing all of the coding and progress I've made in that hour. Is this a known bug? cheers guys
EDIT: ok this is weird, now my backup from this morning, which I've been reverting back to, is now missing the images. I restore the file with Time Machine, open it, and its the same as the current file, all images missing. sweet jesus what is happening..

Was your project saved (or a previous existing project)? Unless it's saved I can't image Time machine has anything to resource in the package contents.
yes my project was saved. I also tried reverting to a version i saved a week ago, same thing is happening, all images are gone, looks like im just gonna have to manually put them all back into the project and back into their actors.
How are you able to tell that the images, in a project that is not open, have disappeared ?
I have not had this exact issue, but something similar has happened. Twice it has seemed that the ghost of gamesalad does weird thing with images and changes up some code. Perhaps is just me half asleep...

ah ok, sorry i wasn't very clear. So my project loses all its images, so i close GS and reopen, the images are still missing. I close GS again and open a few other projects i have, some of them are as i left them, but others are also affected and have lost their images. Really not sure whats going on.
Mac met cheese and now someone is eating it? I know what you mean. This happens sometimes to me and I get . I would just be mad at it and fix it and if it still is "broken" then you will probably have to... ugh... re-install Gamesalad.
This just happened to me and has happened before. VERY FRUSTRATING!
@jdlcrater, does re-installing GS fix the broken project? I have opened a tech support ticket and am awaiting a reply. But I see this issue in closed threads from 2011...
EDIT: I right-clicked on an older file, viewed the package contents and then copied the images, sounds and screenshots folders and pasted them into my broken project's package contents, replacing the empty folders there. That seemed to do the trick, for now. We'll see how long the party lasts...
Are they gone from disk?
If you show package contents on your project in Finder and then go to the image folder, are they there?
They were completely missing for me.
Are you storing the projects in a cloud storage folder, such as Dropbox or Copy or Google Drive?
