Can GS switch scenes with out a break in game play?

I noticed in the Build Box software that scenes are switched seamlessly with out a break in game play. Games like "Phases" and "The Line Zen" utilize this and are built with this software. Is Gamesalad able to do this as well? If it can't how is it that that highly limited software is able to do that and Gamesalad can't? Casual gaming is huge right now and I'd love the ability to create lots of scenes that have different obstacles with the ability to switch in-between those scenes seamlessly.

Buildbox has scenes, but I'm sure sure if they are scenes like we think of them. If I understand, you may be talking about scenes that are little generated pieces of a bigger scene. The game picks random scenes and applies it to the game screen. It may be the same thing, don't know, I haven't really used Buildbox.
Anyway, I'm not sure what Builebox is coded in, but GameSalad is built on an old codebase which makes it slow when changing scenes. They could probably spend a lot of time trying to make it a little better, but I hope Graphene just takes care of that with instant scene changes like you're talking about.

And if it "can't" what are the workarounds? Off the top of my head I'm thinking I could plan out what objects are on the screen as the character goes up or along the screen. After specific x or y points are reached etc.

You can stack scenes so the happen one after another after a certain amount of pixels is reached or you can have them change randomly. It's just really smooth. If GS can't or Graphene can't I suppose I would get their software for certain types of games and then use Graphene for other types that BB can't do that wouldn't require seemless scene changes. I've used their software as part of a 15 day free trial and it is very smooth. It's only for limited types of games but it's probably the easiest tool for them I've come across.
You can make a very large scene and then shift the camera to a new portion of the scene when needed. Or you can refresh parts of the scene (doesn't work with runners or platformers, of course) based on some attribute like game.level.

@Lovejoy saw that yeah he's using the same software cool stuff!
Can't really use change scene for this, but no reason you couldn't make a good endless runner system with seamless transitions and random elements in a single scene.

Actually, there really is no proof either of those games were built in BB. Most likely partially, but most likely not the whole. It is odd software sold by an odd guy
