Application loader to publish?

I just this from apple:

Beginning July 22, you will need to use Application Loader to submit your binary to iTunes Connect. Binary uploads will no longer be accepted through the iTunes Connect interface on that date.

Does anybody knows what it means and/or what impact it might have with GS?

I have a feeling this is to better track what's inside the binary.

Yeah, they mention flagging issues faster, so it seems to have some automated screening. It's been out for a while, but I've never used it. I sure hope this is not some gatekeeper that will be choking off certain Apple "concerns" in the future.

@design219: I am sure that is what it is for... This will finally eliminate Flash apps altogether. And I am sure in the future, it will be used to block others as well.

It SHOULD also speed up review times, as they don't have to manually check the binaries for unwanted code.
