I'm trying to animate a road and I need to make the dash marks ( - ) to move smoothly.. However how can I do that?? All my attempts have been really jumping and doesn't look like the roads moving. Is there an actual program for doing simple 2d animations that I could export into a png files? All I have is photoshop elements ):

Usually you can take one piece of road, depending on where you want it moving, length wise, or width wise.

You can just put a move behavior in there depending on how fast you want it to move, and select the "loop" icon in the scene editor.

Let me know if this is of any help :)

Well what I've been doing is moving the dashes in the road slightly then just keep on exporting a bunch of images in hopes of a smooth animation...

I think the best and easiest way is just to have one piece that looks like a road with dashes, then move it and loop it in the scene. That's the best, smoothest way to get the effect of a road moving
