My suggestion for Gamesalad

I didn't know exactly which section to put this in, but here goes:

So we all know that attributes dont reset when a scene resets, so I think it would be really intuitive to have a "Scene constants" so to speak, where you can specify all the attributes, self, scene, or game, that you want to always be their default whenever a scene or specific scenes start or are reset.

What do you think?

PS: Custom fonts are still a sorely needed and seemingly easily added feature. Still...

Self attributes already reset when a scene starts/resets. Scene attributes already reset when a scene starts/resets. So are you just wanting to be able to specify game attributes that reset when that particular scene starts/resets? If so, why not just make them scene attributes?

I was actually not aware that self and scene attributes reset when a scene starts. All these months of putting in redundant rules that reset those...

So I guess that is that... Still want that fonts thing though.

Here's a basic example of attributes and scene reset.

You can look at it that way in hindsight, but I legitimately had no idea scene and self attributes reset. Just when I was typing the OP I remembered we for some reason STILL don't have fonts and decided I'd throw that one on... I patiently wait for their arrival...

Built in swiping support and custom fonts are probably the two most sorely needed things in gamesalad. I feel like after those two things GS would feel complete. @FINNBOGG is there anything glaring you know of that should still be added?

ohhhhh dear sir dont get me started on my thoughts on why things take so long and why things are in the order of release as they are. Im gonna say this... and i know IM gonna create a hell storm by saying it... but........ When users come up with a "WORK AROUND" for something we wanted added by Gamesalad. Gamesalad takes that item and drops it to the bottom on the "ROADMAP". It may not visually be at the bottom of the road map. But it seems if there are "WORK AROUNDS" or a 3rd Party Company is nice enough to come up with a way to make and sell or give you a workaround. You would think if we can do it the hard way. Gamesalad would be able to make a easier and built in way. But as the famous Kermit the frog memes are saying. " But thats none of my business."

But. Im holding out to see if they have learned this lesson and know to release graphene with all this stuff that makes our work easier to perform. And in doing so also do this with our creator.

Really though, custom fonts would dramatically increase the look of perceivable quality in apps made in gamesalad, it would simplify so many processes, and it seems like something that could be added in a night. It's one of the things I hear about needed most and it seems like it's on the bottom of the agenda.

And as for swiping support. I spent almost 2 months trying to perfect GS Helper/T shirt booth's swiping method to get it to perform as close as possible to the way swiping works in other apps. So that it is responsive, and effective. Swiping seems like a given in an app creator.
