State of GameSalad on 5-22-2015
Hello again all you GameSalad fans! Once again I’ve gathered some info on what we’ve been working / focused on to share with you guys, enjoy!
Short Version:
A lot of information on the upcoming new markeplace was shared in the comments section of the last State of GameSalad post (http://forums.gamesalad.com/discussion/86338/state-of-gamesalad-on-5-15-2015/p1)! On top of this we’ve invited some new testers and are continuing work on getting the new marketplace ready for launch. We just pushed out new stable builds for both the Mac and Windows versions of GameSalad! More work is still being done on Graphene (can’t share any more news yet, however some news was given out by @CodeWizard recently in the Graphene thread). Now that we have new stable builds out for both Mac and Windows users, we will be focused on fixing any immediate major issues that crop up (if any) and move over towards getting out 0.14.x releases for Mac and Windows users!
Standard Version:
Graphene SDK (previously known as “Cross platform Creator”). There’s still more work coming along on Graphene’s website as well as the tool itself. Stable Release 0.13.14 for Windows version of GameSalad Creator! First official update of Windows Creator since 0.10.5 is here! Stable Release 0.13.14 for Mac version of GameSalad Creator! We recently pushed out a new stable build for our Mac users! Go download it here: http://gamesalad.com/download/releases! Release 0.14.0 for the Windows version of GameSalad Creator. Now that a stable 0.13 release is out for our Windows users, this has become a higher focus. This release is planned to be the one that gets Windows version of Creator fully synched up with the Mac version feature wise! This includes all the features we have planned for our 0.14.0 release for Mac as well (see some below)!

One feature that’s in this release that wasn’t talked about before is the new Pathfinding system and behaviors (for Pro members only). A few features this release will have are AdMob integration, the new rendering engine, and full PlaysTogether support. Can somebody shed some light for me? Im reading all these comments about how good the new marketplace looks, but I don't see a single difference?

Does anyone have any details on the new rendering engine, what it will be capable of, how it will improve on the current rendering engine, possible performance improvements, which specific areas of gameplay it will improve (loading speed, frame rate ?) and so on ?
we talked about it at the last GameSalad meetup.

Is A* Pathfinding a pro feature because it is still in nightly build or will it also be pro only after launch of .14?
It will always be PRO.
@BlackCloakGS @ForumNinja Are there any plans in the near future to re-add the option for iOS7/iOS8 as minimum requirements when publishing? Can you please clarify why this was removed again?
Since we can't select device compatibility, this is really the only way to ensure users on old devices do not download games/leave poor ratings.

hi guys, does the new path finding make a game like pacman easy to build now! if so, I'm going to be back on pro membership like tomorrow ???
can i also ask, with the new pathfinding, will a candy crush style game be possible with designed levels that contain blocker actors like all the most popular candy crush style games!

@supafly129 yes once we get some time to figure out how it should work. We found out some thing is compiled into the binary making impossible to work with our current set up. So we disabled it for the short term.
