the game is still on progress but I thought I'd show to get some feedback in case there are things to change, Any comment would be really appreciated , thanks
ok so ive had a quick look at your video, with THIS TYPE of platformer, one bit of advice would be to keep your platform placement standardised, ie distance and height between jumps should be consistent throughout, so have a set distance for small, medium, large and extra large gaps, this way the player becomes accustomed to the gameplay mechanics which will make the game more fun to play. just set up some rules and you will find it easier to place objects this way too,
I say this as I can see in the video that your platforms are placed with no real grid reference thus not creating relationships with other platforms etc. this can make gameplay a bit janky.. maybe!!
in some instances you will need or want to break from the rules to keep things fresh or break it up a bit, this is ok too as long as you do have some rules set in place. it keeps it professional too I guess. like you've actually designed the levels with some thought.
@jay2dx thanks for the advice I will put that in mind for sure , but I didnt understand what you meant with rules , like actually implementing rules to figure out the distance ? sorry I didnt get you.
Hey , I added some particle effect and parallax scrolling, I think this looks better now , I hope it does .. Im really happy with my result ! I just want to push it more but I still dont know whats missing , hope it looks good

It's looking really good! The trailing particle effect seems a bit much to me. To have that many "dots" behind the main character gets distracting.
Look really nice. I do agree the dots can get a little distracting, I wonder if you made his feet kick up some dust or something now and then instead of having a constant trail of dots how that would look? Either way, looks great so far!
@tatiang Thanks for the feedback I'll change the particle effect , I thought that it would look good but your right , it gets distracting.
@jamie_c I will try to do the dust trail sounds awesome I didnt think of that , and thank you for your tutorials on youtube, nearly everything is based upon them, you made it alot easier for me to understand gamesalad.
@JimmyMesser Thank you for your comment , and I think your right , it would be awesome !
I didn't know you were supposed to destroy those rocks at the end of your first video (to make the platform go down) until you actually did, but to be fair, I was only thinking about it for about a second or so.
I think part of that was because the rocks are different colors.
It would be neat if you needed a different weapon to break a different colored rock.
@Summation Your right , but thats because this was level 3 , if you scroll in the comment section i added another video , and I will put things that indicates that youll have to break the rocks in order for things to happen such as unlocking doors or stuff like that .. there will be instructions its all good ! thanks for your feedback , I appreciate it

No problem! Also, instead of instructions (language translation issues if you market it in different countries), I think another way you could do it is to put a picture of the weapon needed to break the rock over the rock itself, so like a certain color rock could have a little boomerang icon, etc.

Nice to see someone else making a platformer!

No I just mean your own rules for design
It would make a world of difference if you made a multi layered background, try it
@abuabed84 I did , I posted the video in the comments with multi layered background

Looking good. Adding the parallax scrolling really made a difference on the overall look of the game.
