"Application not installed"

I sent my apk to my phone(Galaxy III) via Bluetooth, it downloaded, installed, and played fine no problems.
I tried to send the file to my brothers phone nexus, I believe, I get an error message when trying to install "Application not installed".
Tried the same thing with my old phone(HTC EVO) and I got the same error message.
For both I have allow from unknown sources checked in settings and Ive tried transferring the file via Bluetooth, email, and drop box. Same result.
Any ideas would be very much appreciated!
