I'm pricing Doodle Destroy 2 at $1.99, while my other game Doodle Destroy FREE is free. Some people are writing reviews on Doodle Destroy FREE complaining that $1.99 is too much.
Do I change the price to $0.99 ?

I will leave it 1.99.
BTW @POLYGAMe I think I will do that soon :@ :P
@Laciudad
They complain because usually the games on psp are a lot better than the games made on the iphone (:
I had 224 downloads = 1.99
it's ranked 60 in puzzle USA.
will my game enter the N&N section ?

I'm aiming for top games USA
I'm going to try $1.99 for my game.
At the end of the day, yes... there are people who will only spend 99c but I'm guessing that they are far outweighed by the people who are willing to spend "just a buck more". It is, after all, still only 2 bucks!
A worthy test!!!
So Doodle Destroy FREE helped it
BTW i saw tshirtbooth pricing his apps 1.99, so i tried it
I started a poll on this too. Add your thoughts

I myself think the $.99 is probably a better way to go, just because if you look at the top selling games, Angry Birds, Doodle Jump etc. they are always $.99. The biggest market in games is still the younger folks who like to have a wide variety of games in their device, so even though it's just a buck or two, most tend to be a little cautious with where they spend.
I don't personally buy many games, but when I am tempted, I don't think I've ever bought a game app that was over $.99.

:P
But seriously, yes, there is a LOT of CRAP on the iPhone but there are also games that are equally as impressive as some of the top PSP games. My cousin was most depressed after buying 300(great movie btw) for the PSP, only to see me playing Hero of Sparta on iPod Touch - a FAR superior game.
For 99 cents, you're going to get more people purchasing the game on a whim because it's cheaper.
When you raise the price of your game to 1.99, you are also raising the perceived value of the game. I suspect that you are going to get more of an audience who looks through the app store a bit more carefully for quality games. I (personally - I know not everyone is like me) have no problem spending 5, 6 dollars for an iPhone game if I'm pretty sure it's going to be amazing. Compared to every other gaming system that is still a ridiculously cheap number.
So long story short, I don't have an answer to this I priced my app at 1.99 because I felt that it was worth more than 99 cents.
