Couldn't use game salad on a plane

I thought I would do a bit of work on a flight, however when I opened game salad and tried to work it asked me to log in. There is no wifi on the flight, and after several attempts and having it work briefly for a few minutes then ask me to log in again or quit the application I gave up. As a pro user, who would like to use flight time to work this was very frustrating. Have I missed something or is this a problem?

yeah also had wlan problems the last days making it unable to open game salad.
i thin before you could work a couple of days work offline before this kicks in but now it was there from minute one.

why does something like this require a login? Is there not a way to fix this issue.
I would also like to do work on long flights. Hopefully this can be addressed.
@BlackCloakGS has expressed before that his intention is that you can login and then work offline for x (7?) days before being locked out and required to log in again. If you're getting locked out immediately, I'd suggest something has gone wrong and you should submit support tickets and/or bug reports to make sure the GS team know about it.

When I work outside , if i open the wifi and there are no internet connections available , then gs wont work , but if i close the wifi completely , gs works.
We should vote a work offline option.
Surely if you are an established pro user then we should be able to use the software at any time. It would be foolish for a subscriber to do anything that contradicts the terms of use. I cannot see the reasoning behind these restrictions. If gamesalad are able to verify that the software you are using is legitimate then you are able to publish etc, if not then your subscription is canceled, and you are unable to publish. Even if someone were to spend the time using a pirated copy they would still have to pay a subscription to make use of their project. As stated above, if you are logging in regularly then a timer should allow you to work for a period of time without Internet access. I had 4 hours in a plane over the weekend and it was a frustrating waste of time
I was on a plane, had no wifi, and a login window popped up with the only options to login or quit. Regardless of whether I used a free version, or a pro version I got the same issue. On my return flight I loged in before boarding the flight and left gs open, but this also failed when I no longer had wifi. As a paid member, that loses productive working time due to being locked out of the software I pay to use, I consider this a serious issue. Please offer a solution or fix for this problem. Thanks.
I have submitted the above in the pro support questions, hopefully get a solution before I have to fly again in 2 weeks
We do support offline usage. First you have to login online and click the automatic login on launch (remember password on Windows) . Then as log as you don't logout you can use GameSalad offline for 7 days.
What is the actual reasoning behind this limitation? Wouldn't it be enough to do this server-side on publishing?
I know that currently PRO behaviors aren't shown if you aren't a PRO user, but couldn't it actually be a good selling point if non-PRO users can use them inside Creator and see what these behaviors can actually do, when testing in Preview, but need to upgrade to have them on publishing?
I did have that option selected, I have never logged out of game salad, and I use a mac and have the password in my keychain. Still requested a password. Also, on my return flight before I boarded the plane I logged in to game salad, left it open, but when I lost wifi on the plane as soon as I tried to work the log in box popped up and my only option was to save and quit.
ok I will look into it.
I agree @pHghost would be interested to hear GS reasoning behind the need for a 7 day lockout.
Surely if you've paid for a product license (pro) then you shouldn't be running the risk of getting locked out of using the software you've paid to use, even if it is 7 days. You should be able to use it offline unlimited. Ive not heard anything like this with Unity or Autodesk software for example. Its just counter productive for paid users, and forces a risk of potentially unusable software on them.
Like suggested...it makes more sense to do the Pro account validation on uploading games to be published, rather than doing an online sign in every few days.
This is an extremely common thing in software. GS is considered 'web-based' at some level; plus it feeds data (bingo!)
