A note of appreciation for this amazing tool
I have to say, the more I use Gamesalad, the more I discover the amazing possibilities.
I LOVE this software, and that is something I rarely feel towards an SDK or any other development tool for that matter.
There are a few improvements I would suggest in following updates:
Fewer crashes:
Gamesalad's layout and design looks and feels very refined, I think a more stable experience would just complete the user experienceBetter performance:
I want Gamesalad to the best performer, if the GS team would manage to make everything run smoother that would be more suitable for complex games. I know it's easier said than done, but I really don't want to use any other tool and the fps do drop at times for my advanced games.Easier multi-player integration:
I still haven't figured out how to integrate multi-player, maybe it's my fault, but I do hope in the future it would be as simple as any of the other behaviors. After Effects and photoshop:
I find myself swapping between programs here and there for simple tasks like crop etc. Gamesalad should include these basic photo editing tools.
Sometimes I use after effects (or Photoshop) to make looping frames of an image to make it appear as an effect, not only does this kill performance, but it consumes TONS of memory. I would suggest including some of these image filters, especially the ones used a lot in games, for example the filter of converting a real image into a pixelated 16 bit or 8 bit.
Comments
I agree with the above but GameSalad also needs a COLLISION SHAPE EDITOR!
I agree I love gamesalad. I think a great feature would be a snap to grid feature. At the very least it would be nice to be able to set the position of actors without having to go into the actor.

You can make your own grid and snap too functions using a few rules within actors! There's a thread on here detailing it, do a search for it
I too appreciate GS, doing this on your own could cost 10k minimum and you may never see that money back should you fail.
