Hi guys,

Quick one...we had the Europe payments a few days ago but with no sign of US and UK is it normal that some take longer than others? I would of thought they all come within days of each other?

Darren.

Bragging about how much you make from ripping off others ideas is a large part of why people have so much of a problem with it. >.<'

I created Max Vector. You're right, there are other 2D shooters and my game borrows heavily from 2D side-scrollers such as R-Type, Gradius etc... but there is a difference. All of my work is 100% original. It's just the GENRE that has been done before, not the game. Max vector never existed before I created it. All of my artwork was done from scratch and the music supplied legally by the band. If I'd released a game called R-Type and used the gfx and sounds from the NES version, there would be a problem.

I'm guessing you could still get into strife even with original graphics, unless you alter the game in some way. If it's a direct copy, new graphics or not, you're asking for trouble.

The problem is, these big companies like Nintendo do something very evil. Instead of taking you to court, they sit and wait. They'll be watching your app, whether you think so or not and when they think you've made a decent amount of cash from it, they WILL take it from you + damages. ANd no one will be on your side because you STOLE their work. Of course, if it doesn't sell that well, they probably won't bother... but is it worth the risk?

I'm so freaking happy, I should be getting paid soon. I was at $142.80 in the US after May's report, and looking back at my sales for June, I'll be making over $160. It isn't MUCH, but it is something.
