Controller Support - Left Thumb Stick

So I have made a working game that I am submitting to the Amazon App store for the Fire TV and I have the D-Pad working for moving my actor left and right, but how do I get the Left Thumb (joy) Stick to mimic the same left and right controls as the D-Pad?

@jamie_c I did'nt see anything with left thumbstick control in your post? Just asking about PS3 and Xbox remotes and how to sideload...
