Displaying a score of zero using custom fonts

I'm trying to show a score of zero - when the hero dies before actually scoring anything. I've got the scoring working with the method that seems to be the most popular with the div/floor thing happening. But when the hero dies without scoring, the game resets (as it should) but no number is displayed, which makes sense.
I feel that it'd be better if a zero appears when the hero gets nothing. Also, I've got the words 'final score' sliding in next to the score each time the game ends and it looks weird when it slides into an empty space – hence, the idea of a zero. I'm guessing that something has to happen in the first image/actor of a zero - where the first number appears i.e. the number 1. Would anyone be able to please help?

You seem to be having some trouble with your custom fonts, so perhaps an easier to implement method might be helpful to you. I'm going to PM you a method that simplifies things quite a lot - it's literally one actor you drag onto the scene, and then one attribute you change in that actor. It's by far the simplest method of a custom font I've seen so far, but it's a little more resource intensive. (Really not much, though.) Hopefully it'll make life a bit easier for you.
