If anyone gets a chance I'm curious about how the controls feel. Some people say they work great others say they are some times not responsive. I didn't really run into problems when testing, but that doesn't mean anything. :/

Liking the game. Control-wise, the two arrows feel a bit too close for me. And that's on an iPhone 6, cannot imagine on a 5s or lower.

Controls are fine, maybe people need to get used to not moving down when going left right and you have to not press any controls to move down!

Great game anyways :) well done,

My only advice would be to maybe make the background art slightly less intrusive to give the level more depth! Darken it slightly maybe! Quite noticeable on the title screen,

Games boss though so well done

@RondoRocket Great game indeed! However I have to admit that the controls feel a bit odd for some reason, which is kind of sad because it has a lot of potential.

You are your own worst enemy when it comes down to testing your own game:)

It's weird because one person tells me they work great and another says they have problems with them. So odd, wish I could pin point the issue. Not sure if it's placement or size or just how I have the rules setup.

Thanks for the feedback, @pHghost! I've gotten a few suggestions from people on the controls, maybe it will make a difference.

If you are thinking of changing the buttons, you could try having two large invisible buttons, one on each side of the screen. Left button will boost and move left. Right button will boost and move right. And not touching buttons will let the character drop. Just a thought! :)

Thanks for the suggestion @8bitninja! The one hurdle is the player wouldn't be able to more horizontally without moving up at the same time. But I am going to experiment with something similar to your suggestion. Maybe keeping the arrows as is but move them to opposite sides of the screen (like you suggested) but when you press them at the same time you boost? Time to experiment!

Controls are fine and I'm having a blast playing it these guys need to LTP :)

I agree with jay2dx. I personally have no problem with the controls but I am playing on a 6 plus.

That's awesome, it instantly reminded me Cybernator for SNES (I guess because of the jet pack feeling)

@RondoRocket I agree with @pHghost I think the left/right arrow controls are a little too close. And I've also been playing on the iPhone 6 as well. I believe smaller devices may find it even more difficult to control left/right with the arrow being too close together.

Otherwise, everything else is perfect B)

Thanks for the great feedback, guys!

So these are my thoughts... I'm going to start with spacing out the controls a little more and increasing their hit boxes slightly.

Also, since the right side is only used for the boost button I'm thinking of making it so you can touch anywhere on the right side to boost. I might even get rid of the button as long as it's still obvious you touch the right side to boost.

I'm hoping even if they are small changes they might make a big difference while not totally overhauling everything. :/

@RondoRocket Dude, that all sounds great! Things should look a lot cleaner and the controls will be much easier.

Cool! Than I'll make it so! B)

Virtual controls seem to be a real hit & miss thing, probably the reason I've mostly avoided them. :)
