HumbleBundle... GameDevBundle
Hi...
Not sure if anyone has already posted about the current HumbleBundle... Game Dev Bundle, so thought I'd do a quick post to notify peeps... https://www.humblebundle.com/
It's a great package... Contains a number of game engines, asset packs and a number of really good art and animation programs... And proceeds get split between the developers, charity and prize fund for an indie game Dev competition. Theres 6 days left to get your bundle.
Ignoring the other engines, I highly recommend paying $12 or more to get Pro Motion and Spriter. I often recommend Pro Motion when people ask about best packages for doing Pixel artwork. Pro Motion has been the industry leader for pixel art for years, and is used by Gameloft, EA and many other leading studios. I can't recommend it enough, when it comes to pixel art. Spriter is a great sprite animation program... So both are well worth having if your interested in creating game art.
So yup..just wanted to post and inform people about the bundle, as it's a great bargain, for some great software. There's also links on the humble bundle page to the Indie Game Dev competition that is currently underway, in case anyone fancies having a go

That sounded a bit mean ... but I noticed and bought this a few days ago and was keen to post about it but having seen other sdk promotional posts disappear without trace thought better of it. With hindsight I was an arse
I must admit I had thought twice about whether to bother posting about the bundle, as it might be construed as advertising other products, especially as it contains other game engines... And so might run the risk of the post being swiftly closed.
But I figured that it's a Humble Bundle... So for good causes, and contains software at bargain price that could be very useful to many of the GameSalad community... So deserves to be promoted in what little way we can.
If any of the moderators do see fit to close the post.. Then shame on them.. As its meant to be in the spirit of sharing, helping our community, whilst helping charity and a game Dev competition at the same time.
I do believe that in this case, everyone would agree that it's not really breaking any forum rules though...
@Chunkypixels thank you for sharing Just bought it.
@Chunkypixels, I don't see anything wrong with posting that infor here, there is some good stuff in the bundle. Thanks for posting.

Yes, $12 dollars is a steal, even just for Spriter Pro itself, which normally costs almost $60.
And whoa, hold me back! Sprite Lamp!? Looks absolutely amazing.
Nope! Too late to hold me back, just bought it.
This thread may be against the rules, i guess the mods can decide. But the deal is most definitely a steal.

How does this work? If you donate, you only pick like 2 out of 6 from that bracket, or you just take all that is in the bracket under the amount you donate?
You get everything for that bracket and the lower ones.
That means if you pay $12, you get absolutely everything.
I see, that is an insanely good deal then.
It is especially amazing for PC guys, but even for us Mac people it's entirely worth it.
