Creator just seems unusable today...
Don't know WTF is going on...
Insert images into the inspector...crash creator STILL !
Restart Creator...upload images...replace invisible images already in project.
Save Project...crash creator.
Restart Creator....everything's seems ok...no wait you can't choose a scene or preview game...nothing is happening. Close Creator...won't close....Force Quit. Still don't have my images in the project yet.
Publish project...sign project...SSL error over and over...
The little I had before leaving for work is shot ! There wasn't one minute of production in the past 45 mins
I don't get it...there ain't no way I have enough to time to send bug reports for every single crash and creat bug reports to have voted. They just can't make this creator work. It's always something. Same 2 year old imaginary images replacement bug persists. Do we really have to create a bug report for this kind of stuff ? Do these errors NEVER happen at GS HQ? I doubt it. How can you not know there is a problem and not fix it ? Sorry to be a bewitch about it but Lordy WHEN ?

Everyone's computer and method of working is a little different. I know you may not believe it, but we do test and use Creator in-house and if we find issues we fix them. If we don't see the issue in-house or our users don't report the issues to us it's pretty hard to fix them since we don't know about them.
I know you're frustrated, and I would be too, but if you have an issue that happens more than once and it seems related to doing the same thing it really would help to have a bug report for it so we can fix it.
If you're crashing and BugSplat pops up, please make sure you click the send button so we know you had an issue. It also helps if you tell us what you were doing when the crash happened. If you want to go a step further and give us an e-mail address it helps us to be able to match up the crashes one person is having even if their IP address changes.
We really don't want Creator to crash or be frustrating to work with. I'm really sorry you're having trouble.
@GeorgeGS the changes recently are super fantastic I MUST give credit there. Great changes.
My issues with bug reports are they have to be voted on to become a priority. I have submitted a bug...once...it has never been acknowledged as a bug...they said they can't reproduce the bug...so I sent a file that CANNOT make the bug NOT show its little self...they simply have to load the file onto a device and it will reproduce the error.
It's never been acknowledged as a bug. Because of the bug I had to have a custom font used in its place...but my games I focus on the past year requires 9 separate integer displays and have to use custom fonts to do it...
Now there's a big push for users to come up with easier ways of doing custom fonts because...it hasn't been a big enough priority for GS to do it for us and I understand it has been asked for...for a very long time.
I'm sorry but I'm not going to submit bugs. I'm not trying to rant like I have before it looks bad...I simply get a little bent out of shape about bugs that persist since I started using GS...I realize you do some testing but you want us to actually be your testers...GS has users fixing problems or finding the solutions. Like a I and a few others have stated...nightlies and RC should bring a nearly flawless product to the users. Now what's happening is there are no nightlies..release candidates and the flaws appear to be coming to us directly with only a short period of testing in house.
It has to be so hard for a 15 day trial user to using the creator with some of these errors and crashes to pressed purchase.
It is certainly frustrating but is also nice to at least seeing you responding to this and many other posts lately since you came on board.
Thanks

I can assure you that this is not true. I've submitted numerous bugs, and almost all have been quickly confirmed and most quickly fixed. I have a dozen bugs in the system right now that have been confirmed and have at least that many that I previously submitted and have now been fixed.
Bugs aren't addressed in an order based on popularity, they're addressed in an order based on severity. The more serious the bug, the higher priority it gets. I can assure you that submitting bugs with clear, reproducible steps (or even just explanations of what you think you were doing at times bugs occurred) really does yield results.
It's been stated a number of times that @BlackCloakGS is working in particular on fixing image import crashes, and the stability of image import has unquestionably improved in recent versions. There are still crashes, but definitely fewer. And they'll become even fewer as more work on them is done.
If bugs aren't submitted they can't possibly be expected to find them all. It's essential you submit bugs if you want to complain about them I do both

Try do a clean install of gamesalad. Also if you are on a mac when was the last time you did a permission repair?

I have been installing over all previous creators...sounds like a good idea I will try a clean install.
As far as permission repairs go...or needed....I'm only less than a month into a fresh "back to factory" install of OS X....however, I assume that's something in security settings?
To tell you the truth I tend to feel it's GS errors but I suppose there is a chance it's on my end.

Yes...I'm having loads of problems connecting to GameSalad server today!
It seems intermittent but when it happens it happens many times. Luckily you don't have to reload your build. Just try to keep signing until it goes through.

I tend to do clean installs instead of updates. I just got a brand new imac 5k three weeks ago and did a permission repar yesterday and there was already stuff off. To do a permission repair use disk first aid and select repair permissions. Since osx is a unix system all files need proper permissions to be accessed. This can cause issues across your system. I always do mine once a month or so.

Thanks @The_Gamesalad_Guru I did not know that.
