How to Save a players Progress in a game

Hey everybody, I'm new to Gamesalad, and I'm making a game where I have lots and lots of levels, and I have a problem. I need to save the players progress in the shop (where I buy power-ups), how many coins he/she has, and what level he/she is on. It would be nice if I knew how to make a new game button to erase the players progress, but i'm not very concerned about that. Oh, one last thing: video links or attached files are always helpful to me. Thanks!!
