Installed app is very small. : ) {7 MB compared to 60 Mb previously}

Even though the apk was 60 MB and use to install at that size, the installed game on the android came out at 7 MB!! Anybody else notice something like this? It looks like GS now only uses the part of your game that is actually functioning to make the app!! This is really great news. : )

    If true that is great news! Have you tried this the using iOS publisher.

    A few weeks ago I found that apps were actually larger by 3 to 4 times when an adHoc was published. I submitted a bug report.

    I heard that GS will remove anything not being used when compiling, it appears to have been implemented in one of the latest releases. The game was replacing an older version of itself which was at 60 mb. The new apk itself was still 60 mb. When it installed, it appears that it removed anything not being used in the game, reducing it to 7MB. Which means there is a lot of actors, codes, and other things that never gets used in the game? Or perhaps it's a new way of GS compiling, and apps now leave smaller footprints.

    I haven't tried iOS publisher, I can't really try it yet, as I never published to iOS before.

    We haven't changed anything. Where are you getting this 7mb figure?

    @GeorgeGS On my android, when I look at the installed app size, it's at 7 mb, the signed apk shows up at 60mb. The old installed version of the app was 60mb as well.

    Let me know if you need screenshots or the apk file itself of my game for testing.
