What happens when Pro runs out?

I updated an app last month on a one month subscription. I can't remember if it was pro or basic, but my understanding is you can't publish with basic?

Anyway, whichever plan it was ran out, and now I am getting 'not for commercial use' splash screens. Is this because my subscription ran out, or could I have published to the app store with basic? Thanks

You cannot publish to the app stores with Basic. You have to upgrade to Pro for at least 1 month to get access to the stores.

Then I published with PRO because I was able to publish, but now my month is up and there is a warning screen that comes up saying "not for commercial use". Has anyone else let PRO run out?

You must have Pro at the time of publishing. You have a pop up after the app was published to the app stores?

When pro runs out... GameSalad sends men in black to your house to reclaim GameSalad and then wipe your memory.

Oh wait... that's Men in Black.

Once pro runs out, if you don't have any subscription, you can no longer use GameSalad at all. If you downgrade to basic, you can use it but not publish it.

It looks like this. Definitely wasn't published with the trial version. Do I need to keep paying for pro to avoid this? I didn't think that was the deal.

It should only show that splash screen if you published with the free trial. Any games published with a Pro account should not have it and even if you cancel the account, the published games should not change (and I don't see how they could).

It looks like either you didn't publish with the type of account you think you did, or there's a bug that's causing that splash screen to show up for Pro users.

I think I figured out what happened. I thought I had a subscription last month, but I didn't. When you pay with paypal there is another step after clicking 'accept and confirm payment' on paypal. It takes you back to the GS site to confirm again, and enter a promo code. It seems I missed that step... So I thought I payed, but didn't, then was somehow able to sign and publish to the app store. Maybe they don't check in the publishing process for Pro membership? Either way, thanks for everyones help.

You're able to use the publishing system with a free trials - your app just has the splash screen etc. Perhaps a notification when publishing with Pro would help avoid these types of confusion in the future, though!
