Random spawning animated lines

I'm trying to make vertical random spawning lines appear like a yo yo string coming down with a yo yo animated at the end of it. Anyone got any idea how I might make this happen?

From what i understand is that game salad does not contain joints as of yet. However there are some cut the rope templates available that could lead you into the right direction. http://gshelper.com/shop/gamesalad-templates/feed-the-ape-cut-the-rope-style-template/
