New Member - copyright question
Hi!
Ive been a long time lurker on the forums for about 3 years on and off, reading on the development of GameSalad.
Recently Ive noticed that GameSalad has stepped up its game regarding updates and bug fixes, so it seems from what Ive been reading on the forums, which has made me want to jump on the bandwagon and start making some gains... I mean games
Additionally the GS community seems to be very helpful, which is great.
I was wondering how does copyright apply when publishing my games using GameSalad regarding my artwork, animations and game. Am I the sole owner of the content I produce? (not talking about code)
If say, I would want to sell my game or assets, or produce it in another program in the future, in order to be able to port it to consoles, all this I would do without having to have any special consent from GameSalad?
I have read in the terms that "GameSalad and/or its third party licensors owns all right, title and interest in and to: (i) the information, features, applications, text, content, files, advertising, graphics, images, photos, videos and video clips, screen shots, art work, icons, audio, sounds, musical works, copyrighted text, works of authorship, descriptions, user and visual interfaces, widgets, third party user Submissions and Feedback (each as defined below), and other materials or information provided on and through the Site and Services (collectively, the “Content”). Thus I am asking.
Thanks for the replies
Cheers!

Anything you own the copyright to - artwork, animations, sounds, music, logic etc. - remains yours when you upload it to GameSalad. GameSalad gains no rights.
The one exception is if you upload it to the Arcade, there's a checkbox - defaulted to checked - that gives GameSalad permission to use your game for promotional purposes.
