Save won't overwrite previous file anymore

Odd one this, and more OSX related than GS. Finally got myself Snow Leopard and installed it over my older Leopard installation. Went perfectly well. The only difference now is that if I save a game (ie SpaceShooter_b) and go to save the same file afterwards (selecting File/Save, not File/SaveAs) it complains that it can't save the file as the backup can't be saved as it may be locked or I don't have the permission.

It isn't locked so I don't get what's going on. Anyone had this ?

No one had this ? I've Googled it and can find nothing. Any reason why my files are coming up as locked when they're clearly not ?

Yes I've just had it - did you find the cause? I'm having to save as a new name every time I save!

One thing you can try is running Disk Utility which is in Applications/Utilities.
Run the repair permissions option on your hard drive.

Maybe something got corrupted during the upgrade.

I upgraded to Snow Leopard back in March and haven't noticed any problems.

I had this problem with 0.8.9 on my hackintosh.

Since I started using my new i5 iMac there is no problem. I would recommend using the disk utility as described above.
