ARGH! - Hands tied in the Tweet function string limitation for iOS? - Any help appreciated!

Hi guys - I've been trying to set up a Tweet function for my game, for both Android and iOS. Although I've managed to sort out both quite happily, I'm hitting a frustrating limitation with the iOS 'Tweet Sheet' function that the 'Open URL' function for Android doesn't have a problem with!!!

I'm of course talking about the 140 character limitation - It's easy for a developer to ensure that they don't hit this, but of course the GS built-in 'dumb' limitation is stopping me from tweeting perfectly valid (once shortened/TCO'd) tweets!

Basically, once submitted, Twitter converts any embedded URL to a 22 character one, but the GS function does not take this into consideration?

I've tried to cut down my tweet text, in order to add the game's URL to the tweet, but it's now ridiculous! - it now bears no resemblance to the plain English Android Tweet I can set up using the (less-friendly) Open URL method!

Yes, I understand I could get a short URL, and redirect, but it means needing to set one up, plus people and apps are suspicious of them - likewise, I'd rather USE the friendly iOS direct tweet functionality than an Open URL if possible!

Any advice please guys? - maybe a tip for somehow managing to over-ride this really basic and dumb limitation, or if GS plan to fix it by detecting the URL embedded within, and counting it as only 22 characters?

Cheers all!
