creating a keystore on windows?

I have looked at the cookbook tutorial for creating a keystore but I don't know what it means by open terminal. Can anyone tell me what the terminal is and how to open it?

its the command prompt for windows, but make sure you've configured your PC for android development first:

after that you would just use the command prompt in place of the terminal

Windows Creator can create a keystore inside the application. Just click the "New..." button, pick a name for the keystore file, then fill in the rest of the form.

Once you've signed once you'd want to click the "..." button and browse to it then continue on to finish signing.
