Why has it generated a zipped folder and not an apk file?

With the android publishing it generates an apk file that I can input into the apk signer and it is sorted straight away yet when I generated the apk for the iphone it gave me a folder. How do I sign this or find the apk?

for iphone publishing make sure you click on the sign app button after it's been generated.

The "sign app" button will download the file into GS where you sign it. After that you choose the folder where you want to save it. After that you will have a signed .app -file ready to go.
