Pause behavior.

You know when you preview your game on game salad whilst editing with that play sign?
And then you can either stop or pause.
Why can't Gendai make a behavior like that pause?

I think i remember a head chef saying something along those lines (correct me if I'm wrong).
It would be nice if there was an easy pause solution that worked for the iTouch and iPad. But maybe multitasking is coming to all iDevices soon - it would be nice!
I would still love a pause feature - as scitunes says, we *used* to have it.
The main reason (and the best reason) is that I don't want to piss off people that play my games more than I have to!
For example, I used my iphone on the train journey to work. If I had to switch platforms, I could pause my game, then resume when on the other train.
It's just the nature of a mobile device - sometimes you need to pause!
The inability to pause just causes hassle to the people you're trying to entertain!
Fortunately, this is addressed in ios4, which is why I don't make a fuss about it anymore. My games are aimed at ios4, it's a FREE upgrade, and so I assume my target audience has it.
Scitunes makes a good point about younger users, and this should certainly be taken into consideration, and the good fight for Pause must continue.

Yes ios4 is a nice help now but the other function of a pause it to make a choice and not just freeze the game. In my Space Tech defender game (currently in review) I have pause and it gives you the choice to quit, replay or continue, so I think yes the fight must go on to give us a reasonable gamer choice.
