Horrible Timing...taking a break from GS unfortunately.

I had been trying to save money for my yearly Apple and GameSalad account renewals...both due in 5 days.

I had neck surgery and have been off a week already...have 2 more at least before I can lift more than 30 pounds...plus physical therapy costs...co pays...deductables...blah blah blah...yada yada...it aint going to happen.

The budget is to tight for us right now and for the next few months so basically Im going to have to stop this hobby for a while.

It sucks living paycheck to paycheck...your never ahead of the game. 1 month takes 4 or more to recover.

I wish I could help but I only got so much for what I have to do. And even I am layin' off the GameSalad for a while until it runs a little better and has a few more features.

I am sorry to hear that @Thunder_Child. I completely understand living paycheck to pay check as well. I too have had some big changes this year that have made my finances tighter. I wish the best for you moving forward as well as a speedy recovery.

That sucks, hope you make it back when things are in better shape for you. The most important thing is that the surgery went well and that you recover fully.

Not cool - hope to still see you around the community, though!

Ill still stick around the forums. Everything kind of depends on how and when I can keep things going. Best I can hope for is to at least keep my Apple dev account going and find a budgeting means for GS monthly but Its going to be a big stretch. I dont see it happening. My tutorials will stay up of course and Ill need my daily fix of the forums to visit. Lol.
I have 5 days left to make provisioning profiles and adhoc a ton of builds to my devices then if Both accounts get closed Ill still have mu own games to play. :-)

Sorry to hear that Thunder. If we can get 80 people to give you $5 you're all set! I'll be happy to help you on your way :)

Your tutorial just helped me loads with my first iOS app so please stick around...we need you!
Get yourself back to full health that comes before everything, I'm sure everything else will fall into place after that. Good luck ;)

Do you have a website with donation button? I'd be happy to contribute to the Thunder_Child fund. Although, GS should pick up the tab for all of your helpful tutorials.

Apple's documentation for Swift is free, and you can learn a lot from that. Having used GS for some time now will also give you a leg up in working with constructing programming logic.

Also, you will still get the 15 days of trial after your PRO expires, unless something has changed on GS's side.

Sorry to hear about your situation.

Wow thank you all. I had no idea there would be offers of donations thats not what my intentions were when I posted this. I was disappointed to have to admit I was going to have to put my hobby on hold...it's a very passionate hobby because how involved I try to be as a member of the community but again its just a hobby...i dont have a donation button anywhere mu efforts within the forums has for the most part, been a non profit thing and just helping others best I can.

But now I truly see why I love this community so much. A donation was offered to get my Apple Developers renewal for a year and 1 month Pro subscription from a member of the community.

Im kind of humbled by this donation. I look forward to continuing what I love to do so much.

Thank ALL OF YOU for the support you show.

If there's a way to transfer what i have left on my yearly subscription to you. I'd do it.
I have my subscription till June 2016 I think. I already cancelled the auto renew when the time comes because i don't think i'll have time to work on games or have any ideas for games.
    Now if only there's a way ...

It feels like there's no water left, never mind the steam.
So my account right now is just sitting there a waste of unused credit, I haven't touched opened up GS in like more than a month now. I wish GS would/could close my account and transfer credit to Thunder_Child, at least it'll be useful.

Try writing up a message to some of the GS Staff on here, maybe they'll be able to help with that.

@Thunder_Child Do you have a PayPal account? I'd like to help out and toss you a few bucks to help get your Apple dev account covered. I can't send much but it will at least help get you closer to 99$.

We are working with TinTran to get your account situated. We aren't gonna let you run off that easily ;P

  • Thunder_ChildThunder_Child Member Posts: 2,343
