Need help with swipe or drag on gamesalad

So I need help with my game. I've seen forums on this but they have been for different things so I wanted something that applied more directly to me. So my character is in one of three rows. If you tap to the right it moves to the middle or right row or left for left. But I want him to grow or shirk in that direction when I swipe the character. This game is primarily for smart phones but if the method applies for computers I may publish for that too. Thanks for the assisstance.

Have you tried to implement a swipe method? Most of them result in some measurable value (e.g. text that says "left" and "right"). If you can find where that value is set, that's the location in the rules that determines whether the swipe was to the left or to the right (or not long enough to register). You would just add your "grow/shrink" behavior(s) there.

You mention forums... I would simply Google gamesalad swipe and watch some of the videos in the Videos tab.
