Images are sharp in creator, but blurry on iPhone

Images are 2x size of actors with resolution independence checked. Images are made in photoshop as 24-png at 72ppi. I've already made all the graphics for the game I'm working on, so hopefully the fix doesnt involve completely redo-ing them all...

Thanks in advance.

If you've made your images x2 @24bit then, like you say, any fix will probably not involve you redoing your images. But I doubt anyone can definitively answer your question as 'iPhone' could mean just about anything (at least in the world of iPhones!) and 'resolution independence checked' is equally vague given the various options available, nor have you even said whether this is an ad hoc build, a published app, a Viewer preview . . . and so on . . without sharing the relevant information you'll just attract a few random-ish guesses.

Ah my bad, sorry. So it's built for the iPhone 6 and published for iPhone (instead of iOS universal) and I'm demo-ing it using testflight on an iPhone 5

Okay so I tried something on a hunch, and it worked! I unchecked resolution independence then re imported all the images and applied them to their actors and manually halved the sizes of the actors. Time consuming and inconvenient, but now everything is nice and crisp. Hopefully if anyone else has this same problem this could help them out.
