HELP! My attributes and actors have disappeared and I've been working on this game for months!??

Do you have a back up copy of your project or have you been overwriting the same file for months ? I know some people have had success resurrecting damaged files in the past, so there might be something that can be done to help you out, hopefully someone who has rescued a damaged file can chime in with suggestions.

Are you on Mac? Time machine.

Sometimes things get funky but not actually lost. You can reload project from recent.

One time my file got corrupted and all my images disappeared. I right clicked on the file and chose "view package contents" to reveal the files and folders within. (This is on a Mac.) I then copy and pasted all the missing images back into the images folder from a previous version and it fixed it. If you have older versions of the file but not a new backup, this may work for you for getting back anything up until the last save, assuming you are on a mac or the same thing can be done in windows.

Backup, backup, backup. Anything you invest that much time in you need to have periodic copies of progress.

Be sure to also hit that ? button in the bottom corner of the website and give your project file (the broken one) to GameSalad so they can investigate what caused it and hopefully prevent it happening to anyone else in the future.
