Best free GS made apps?

Hey all :)

I've just gotten my iPad and iPhone 4 - it was actually really difficult as the 16GB iPad was sold out sly over Sydney, but one store got a few in this afternoon and we snagged the last one. (The iPhone 4 was also insane, but we found a store that had gotten ONE for launch.)

Anywho, as you can imagine, it will be a little while until my bank account fully recovers, and I was hoping that you could list any free GS games you are aware of for either iDevice so that I can have a play around :)

Thank you!
Peach, via the sexy beast that is my new iPad!

I'll gift you Max Vector. Send me an email - karl@polygame.co.nz. Prankstar is a bit of fun, too but you probably don't want people dropping your device :P

    Haha, that I don't :P

I'll email you now - I'd love to try it ^-^; (Will be my first review too!)

I won't be so bold as to claim being among the best of breed from the GS community, but if you have the space for it, go ahead and grab CHORDiCA XL which is actually a music instrument.

Some videos about it at http://chordica.com/xl

Polygame - a fantastic game which iTunes is currently not letting me review (mentioned in my email - I can't view my account history either though so I guess it will be resolved soon).

Scoreless, I'll give it a go in a minute :) Cheers. (When reviews are working for me again I'll leave one there too.)

HAHA, that's not what I was getting at! I just need reviews! LOL.

It still wont load purchase history or let me review, but rest assured, if I can't leave one tonight I'll try again tomorrow.

Chordial XL got a review, but I downloaded it via my iPad so it seemed to work differently.

    Silly iTunes.

I'm not going to say it's one of the best, but my first game "Food Fight!" is free and has gotten very good reviews.

There is a way to set up a US iTunes account if you want to start getting promo codes and reviewing game. I don't know how myself, but I think there have been threads on how to do this. Congrats on getting your phone! Now we all want to see what you've been working on.

There are also "lite" versions of many GS games, here are just a few:

    Kill the King Lite

    Red Block Remover 2 Lite

    Stunt Squirrels! Lite

    Danger Cats! Lite

    Buggies Lite

I shall get back to this once I solve a background issue I'm having.

If there is a way for me to set up a US account I definitely will; I want to be able to share promos and review without issue.

RE the iPhone grats, thank you. The store we found only had ONE, everywhere else was sold out.

The iPad was hard too, 16GB wifi ones are sold out all over here, got the last of new stock that came in. (It lasted 2 hours, lol.)

Scribble Jumper is free and OK for a quick jaunt... It was a 'weekend challenge' game so not much depth but fun for a bit!

It's not the best but it is free! Lol

I got the 16GB one, I would have got the 32GB had it been there, but really, it isn't like I'll ever use it for music, movies or even photos - it was the only one in two shopping complexes and really, I couldn't wait any longer to test my apps.

I'm really happy with the first app I'll be releasing; should be net week after I get my ABN certificate for Apple :)

I would suggest a few of my free ones but a light version of rolando or We Rule is much better. Lol

Congrats on getting your iphone 4 and iPad! Like Xmas day for ya!

Definitely get Max Vector, I had so much fun with that game, my thumb was sore after having beaten it :)

And Mutant Mayhem is a really cool game too!

I wish i had me an ipad and iphone 4 :(
  • peachpellenpeachpellen Member Posts: 977
Haha, beefy, if it makes you feel any better I had to work a LOT for three months to pay for the iPad, and I'm now on a contract for the iPhone 4, which sucks. Lol.

Can't say I'm not thrilled though, it's been almost 4 years since I spent anything on myself, and the 21st seems a good time to do it!

Butterbean, I agree, Max Vector is fantastic, my partner and I took it in turns to play it :)

    Will do! :)

How do you like your 4?, been sitting on the fence for awhile about getting one or not
  • peachpellenpeachpellen Member Posts: 977
    It is AWESOME.

I haven't had an iPhone before, so it's hard to compare it to the older ones - although my partner got himself a 3GS and comparatively I've got to say, the iPhone 4 is significantly nicer.

It's faster, it's got a better "feel" to it, the HD video looks superb even in low light and the pictures are amazing quality. I'm talking perfect. This would replace your standard video camera/digital camera easily.

It's just.... I don't know. It feels perfected.

Regarding the death grip, I can't get to 0 bars - I can go to one from two if I use two hands, but that's it. I held it in my left hand for a long phone call and the only time it even broke up was when the person I was talking to drove through a longggggg tunnel.

That said - do you own an iPad? Lack of multitasking sucks, but man, it is awesome.

Awesome, will order one now haha! No I don't have a iPad, but my partner does and it is awesome! Wish I could get both, but it was one or the other and I have this 3 year old HTC and I HATE it! So I need a phone haha
