What sort of advice are you after ?
Gamesalad animates using frame based animation so you'll need to create individual frames for animations. Not sure that's what you're after. If you have a more specific question ask away...

Need more details. What do you have?
The animate behavior is confusing me because i need to use it but the only thing I can do is modify the FPS, loop, and restore actor Image when done
is that good
@WMS_GS117, what kind of animation are you trying to achieve exactly?

That is all animate can do - it is just a frame/image player
This animation math by @Socks allows a little more control over animation. We really don't understand what you want. http://forums.gamesalad.com/discussion/63454/fast-frame-swap/p1
You've still not told us what it is you are trying to do.
An animation is a series of still images created in a graphics or animation program. So yes that is all the animate behavior does. You need to create the animated images and the behavior plays them back.

You don't know how to add images? You don't know what the fps does? Do you not want the character to revert to it's former image? We need more details on what you want to do.
ok I know what FPS is and that sort of stuff but every time I try to drag an image into the animate behavior it just makes a change image behavior and does nothing to the animate behavior
but It might be the fact that I haven't gotten the new update
Version shouldn't matter these days. To make an animate behavior you have to drag an animate behavior into the rule and then drag images into it by moving them into the white box in the animate behavior.
I have an old tutorial here that discusses graphics and animation if you want to check it out. It's old but should still be accurate.

If you're dragging an image into an actor's rule list and a Change Image behavior is being created then you aren't dragging it into the Animate behavior correctly. Try importing the image file into the Images Library first and then dragging the image from the Library to the Animate behavior.

Sounds like he's dragging in One image and trying to animate it.
ok but the thing is when I do that the it makes a change image behavior instead and IDK why it's doing that and nothing is happening to the animate behavior
If anyone can help pls do so I need this done by Monday
Okay bring in the animate behavior. Then inside the open area of the behavior drag in your images.

or just drag in your images and the animate behavior is made for you
At this point, there have been many suggestions and much help. If it's still not working, consider posting a link to a screen recording of what you're seeing. There may be something simple that you're doing wrong that none of us can see.

This is a frame by frame animation. Break it up into individual images and that's what you need for gamesalad.
This is the animate behaviour
Put the images in one by one in order by dragging them in to the animate behaviour.
You now have an animation!
Put it in rules to trigger the animation or set to loop an enjoy watching it animate over and over.
