Shadows on static objects is where custom collision is in use. Containers for example, is drawn with the shadows in it, then with custom collision you only mask out the container.
The shadow on the car is simple constrain a actor to the cars X and Y + rotation, that actor has the shadow graphic in it.

No, no controller support. Haven't got time to look at controller support yet.
As far as raw game controls, it's dead simple to implement. The hardest thing would be configuring any graphical menus that are designed for mouse/touch direct access.
