If you want to scale them upwards, doing so is pointless. You'll get no improvement in quality, and GameSalad will do that for you at run-time if needed.

Yup, there are numerous ways of scaling up your images, but it's not just pointless but actually counter to your needs, you will just generate larger files that take up more disk space, and be slower to load, and you'll make no difference to image quality above and beyond the device specific hardware scaling.
well @Armelline and @Socks im trying to get my game on steam but in order to do so im told that i would have to use the 720 hd version... which i cant use anymore because i went from legacy iphone to now this version... it warps my photos because the width is more than what it was before... so from going from mobile to trying to get it on steam im having some difficulty
oh and im not really caring about the quality of the images... i dont mind a little pixelation because i want my game to have an old school feel to it anyways
What is the '720 hd version' ?
What is 'this version' ?
Scaling images up doesn't introduce pixelation it simply blurs the image.
the platform versions that you have when you first start your project
...
Resizing your images will really be of no benefit to you here. Just change the project size and adjust your actors and logic accordingly.
