Having installed VirtualBox and the Guest Additions, I can say that this is the number one cross over app for Mac OS X. I love it because I can now create art for games, and transfer them over to Mac OS X without having to reboot.

If you decide to use this, please INSTALL the "Guest Additions". It make the VB even better.

This might sound like a dumb question, but how exactly is this better than dual booting Windows with Boot Camp?

Well, every time you want to switch to OS X, you need to restart your computer. With VirtualBox, you can have two OS'es running at once. There is also no need to restart the computer.

By "to" do you mean 'two'?

    I prefer parallels.

Thanks for spotting that. Fixed it.

I tried Parallels when I bought my Mac, but it is kinda hard to manage, and a little bit slower than VirtualBox (VB is also free and open source.)

VMWare Fusion is where it's at :)

Vmware and parallels both work very nicely. But, I'm pleased that I have no copies of windows installed anywhere now in our house. I can't think of anything I would need windows for anymore.

Well, I do have some Windows apps I can't live without.

    Some of them:

    WYSIWYG Web Builder
SZS Modifier (Mario Kart Wii Texture and Model hacking app)
BrawlBox (Super Smash Bros Brawl Texture and Model hacking app)
